Accessibility at Flashpoint Bristol – Easton / Clip ‘n Climb Bristol
We want to make Flashpoint Easton as accessible and welcoming as possible. Our centre is housed in a converted industrial building, with all climbing areas located on the ground floor and accessible without stairs. However, some areas of the centre, including our upstairs training and stretching facilities, can only be reached by stairs.
While all of our climbing areas have step-free access, some climbing walls are surrounded by large safety mats, which may be difficult to move across with certain mobility aids.
If you have any accessibility requirements or would like to discuss your visit before arriving, please get in touch. Our team will be happy to talk you through the centre and discuss any adjustments we may be able to make.

Getting here
By car: We have approximately 40 parking spaces across two car parks, with around 10 spaces at the front of the centre and a further 30 spaces to the rear.
Flashpoint Easton is located just off the M32, making it one of the first climbing centres you’ll reach when entering Bristol from the motorway.
Our front car park is accessed directly from New Gatton Road.
To reach the rear car park, turn left from New Gatton Road and drive down the side of Extract Coffee Roasters. Follow the access road around the building to the parking area at the rear.
From the rear car park, a clearly signposted, step-free footpath leads around the outside of the building to our main entrance at the front.
There are currently no designated accessible parking bays.
By public transport: The centre is located in Easton, close to the M32 and within reach of local public transport connections. Please contact us if you’d like help planning your journey.

Entrance & reception
Our main entrance is on New Gatton Road and has step-free access.
Reception is immediately to your left as you enter the building, with our café seating area directly ahead.
Registration and forms can be completed using your own mobile device or with assistance from our reception team.
If you’re visiting for the first time, our team will also be happy to give you a short orientation tour to help you find your way around the centre.
Climbing areas
All of our climbing areas are located on the ground floor, with no stairs required to access either of our main climbing spaces.
The centre is spread across two connected warehouse units, each offering different climbing and viewing areas.
Unit 2 – Main bouldering area
Our main bouldering area is directly ahead as you enter the centre and includes a wide variety of climbing styles, wall angles and grades.
Two training boards are located towards the back of the climbing area, with two additional circuit boards towards the back left.
Much of this area is covered by large, soft bouldering safety mats, with limited walkways between the climbing walls. These mats can be uneven and may be difficult to move across with some mobility aids.
Unit 3 – Additional bouldering and Clip ‘n Climb
Unit 3 is accessed through a step-free doorway to the right of the reception and café seating area.
This area contains additional bouldering walls, including some of our lowest climbs and more child-friendly climbing areas.
A separate steep cave bouldering area is located towards the back, behind Clip ‘n Climb.
Unit 3 has more walkways around the climbing areas, allowing visitors to move through and view much of the space without needing to cross the bouldering mats.
Clip ‘n Climb is also located in Unit 3, with step-free access to both the waiting area and climbing zone. Unlike the bouldering areas, the Clip ‘n Climb zone is not surrounded by thick bouldering mats, making it easier to move around at ground level.
Upstairs training facilities
A mezzanine level is located above the reception and café area.
This contains a large stretching platform, additional lockers, a free-weights gym and an additional toilet.
The mezzanine is only accessible by stairs, as there is no lift to this part of the centre.
Visitors who cannot use stairs can still access all of our ground-floor climbing areas.
Viewing areas
Many of our climbing areas can be viewed from accessible ground-floor spaces.
Unit 2: The main climbing area can be viewed from the reception and café seating area. However, access to some walls and viewing positions requires crossing the bouldering safety mats.
Unit 3: There are more walkways around the climbing areas, allowing step-free access to a wider range of viewing positions without crossing the mats.
The Clip ‘n Climb waiting area and climbing zone are both step-free, with ground-floor viewing available.
Our team will be happy to help you find a suitable viewing area if you have specific accessibility requirements.
Toilets & changing
An accessible toilet is located on the ground floor, past reception and to the left of the café seating area.
Male and female toilets are also available in this area, with changing facilities incorporated into the toilets.
Baby changing facilities are available in the accessible toilet.
An additional toilet is located upstairs on the mezzanine level and can only be reached by stairs.
Instructed sessions
If you or someone you’re booking for has accessibility requirements, please let us know when booking.
This allows us to recommend the most suitable session and climbing area, discuss any adjustments we can make, and ensure your instructor is aware of your requirements before the session begins.
We’re happy to discuss mobility, sensory, hearing, visual, neurodivergent, learning and other accessibility requirements.
Café
Our café and seating area are located on the ground floor, immediately ahead as you enter the centre.
The area has step-free access and includes a mixture of high and low tables, providing different seating options for visitors.
Our team will be happy to assist with ordering or finding a suitable seating area if required.
